Who and What is JANAK & SCURFIELD INC.?
The Sacramento company was started in 1944 by Earl Janak and John Scurfield . Janak & Scurfield Inc. was subsequently sold to Greg Turner and Keith Jansen in 1978. We have twelve employees operating in a twelve thousand square foot facility in the midtown section of Sacramento.

The company started out selling surplus World War II tents and other related surplus canvas items. Soon after Janak & Scurfield started manufacturing custom canvas and heavy duty fabric products . Our products are use in the aircraft, aerospace, military, trucking, agricultural and industrial market to the residential, commercial awning markets. Some of the most unusual and distinctive canvas awnings both residential and commercial have been designed and fabricated by Janak & Scurfield Inc.
